Rock Reforestation Ltd. began as a specialty fill plant crew and as such has emphasized quality planting as the top priority. As seasoned fill plant specialist, Rod and Deb Reimer have personally trained each and everyone of their planters to become top quality planting specialists in their own right. This ensures that the company's high standard of quality is maintained by each planter. Planters work together as a team and because a day rate pay scale is used instead of a tree rate, there is no temptation to sacrifice quality for quantity.
Rock Reforestation Ltd. contracts most of their work in the Robson Valley of B.C. district, but has planting experience in the East Kootenay (Kinberly), Fraser Canyon (Boston Bar), Cariboo (Williams Lake), Dawson Creek (Chetwynd) forest districts of B.C. as well as in Alberta and Ontario.
Rock Reforestation Ltd. has planting experience with most species and stock types currently in use in the forest industry, Rock also has extensive planting experience with virtually every different spacing requirement used in the industry today.
In addition to basic planting and fill planting situations, Rock has also participated in a variety of university / industry /ministry funded research projects. The crew size and quality team work philosophy of this company lends itself especially well to these types of projects.
Rock Reforestation Ltd. has also worked with the industry in trials of new innovations such as micro-sites, mounds, pre-planting brushing, brush blankets and fertilizer bags, as well as on a variety of differently harvested sites such as clear cuts, partial retention horse logging and burns, to name a few. The company also has experience working with helicopters on fly-in situations.
Rock Reforestation Ltd is interested in and capable of taking on new challenges in the industry in addition to planting in all formats previously encountered. Rock is especially suited to smaller, labor intensive contracts in which mobility, flexibility and crew size are factors that allow greater efficiency with a small operation as opposed to a bigger one.
